We will be closed temporarily after Saturday the 14th. Staff will continue to work each day to clean, feed, socialize, and otherwise take care of the cats, and we will be available to coordinate adoption pick-ups, but we will not be open to the public during our usual open hours. We will post more updates as soon as possible.

Plan Your Visit

If you love coffee and cats, you have come to the right place!

Each visitor can experience an hour-long session in the cat lounge, our place for adoptable cats to play, nap, and cuddle until they find their permanent, loving homes! Our entrance fee is $8/hour per person during open hours Wednesday- Sunday.

Our coffee bar offers a wide selection of espresso-based drinks, hot or iced, as well as a selection of tea, sparkling water, and juices for the young/young at heart.

We have a small selection of  snacks and assorted pastries that can be enjoyed in the cat lounge, but neither drinks or foods can be shared with the cats.

You do not need a reservation to come to the Happy Tabby! We accept walk-ins on a first come, first served basis, but with our open, spacious cat lounge, we can accommodate several small parties at any time.

To book a private event, please email us at info@happytabbycatcafe.com for more information.

We are located at 529 Irwin St NE Atlanta, GA 30312 at the corner of Irwin and Howell St.
Street parking is available for free on Irwin St. as well as on Howell St. and many of the blocks surrounding the Happy Tabby.

Our location is a very walkable 4 blocks from the East Side Beltline and Krog Street Market.

+ How can I adopt a cat I met at the Happy Tabby?

- Our adoptable cats are are from Furkids, and you can apply to adopt through their website or in person at the Furkids Shelter. Adoption fees are $85 for cats 7 months to 8 years old, and those over 8 years are free to adopt!

+ What is a house cat?

- We have two house cats, Binky and Butterbean, who are resident cats and are not up for adoption. They are very friendly and love being at the cafe, and they show new cats the ropes when they first arrive.

+ Can I bring my cat?

- We supply the cats and the coffee, so please do not bring your own. (We can accept donations of new or gently used toys if your cat did not like them, though!)

+ How can I learn more?

- You can get updates and event details by following our social media accounts and signing up for our newsletter HERE.
